My passion for massage and body work springs from my long-standing belief in the power of touch as an essential therapeutic modality for children as well as adults.
Pediatric Massage Therapy
Pediatric Massage is a safe, calming massage therapy practice that can ease your child’s anxiety, provide pain relief from athletics or growth spurts, digestive issues, sleep problems and help to ensure an optimum balance through their critical years of mental and physical growth.
“I’ve dedicated years of massage therapy services to improving the well-being of children and teens. Youthful bodies are constantly changing and growing, massage therapy can help maintain a healthy equilibrium.”
What does a typical pediatric massage session involve?
- A parent or guardian is always present during every session.
- Each session lasts about 30 minutes depending on your child’s needs.
- Annie works with your child from where they are, both mentally and physically, providing a calm and nurturing environment.
“I will never begin massage without your child’s expressed permission.”
Families often seek massage to help children through periods of anxiety or physical strain. When anxiety hits it can manifest in a variety of ways—affecting your child’s sleep, concentration in school, digestion, energy level and more. Massage therapy has a calming effect on the body’s nervous system helping the body to achieve balance.
